Dream, Believe, Achieve!
Dear Parents,
Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year! I hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with laughter and memories! On behalf of the entire staff and myself, we look forward to a positive, successful school year! A collaborative partnership between school and home is ESSENTIAL to ensure success. Here are some ways to keep communication lines open between home and school:
- Check agendas and school bags daily for homework, notes, newsletters or information from school. Initial the agendas nightly to indicate that you have seen the assigned work.
- Write the teacher a note if you have questions or concerns. A phone call is always welcome.
- If, after speaking to the teacher, you still have questions or concerns, please contact the principal.
- Positives and successes are built on other positives and successes. If you like what the teacher is doing, let them know!!! A quick note of “Thanks”, etc. can make a huge difference in someone’s day!
- Come to school events (e.g. Open House)! Drop in, volunteer, etc. Student success is directly related to parental involvement. BE INVOLVED!

No Peanuts Please!
Students in this school have severe peanut allergies. For the health and safety of these students, it is IMPERATIVE that NO peanuts or by-products be brought to school. Reading food labels for ingredients is extremely important. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!
Lice Alert!
Be sure to carefully check your child’s hair before school opens. If lice or nits are found, the hair and household must be treated immediately. Please inform the school if lice/nits are detected. It is strongly recommended that “hair checking” be a weekly ritual at your home.
Open House/General Assembly
