Dream, Believe, Achieve!

[print format]

Dear Parents,

Welcome to the 2010-2011 school year!  I hope everyone had a wonderful summer filled with laughter and memories!  On behalf of the entire staff and myself, we look forward to a positive, successful school year!  A collaborative partnership between school and home is ESSENTIAL                                                        to ensure success.  Here are some ways to keep communication lines open between home and school:

Transportation Packages:

Your packages will be ready as of Monday, August 23, 2010.  School Fees are due upon pick up of your package.  The school fees remain at $60.00 per student.  The fees must be paid as soon as possible.  Fees cover costs for supervision, paper/photocopy, etc.

First day of school is August 30th

School hours are 8:00 a.m. to 2:40 p.m.  Exception – Wednesdays are 8:00 a.m. to 1:40 p.m.

Students and parents are invited to the gymnasium at 8 a.m. for class distribution.  Kindergarten parents are invited to meet with me in the library to answer any questions or concerns they may have.

Daycare:

Open August 30th, at 6:30 a.m.  Karen Teske will be available on the first day to take registrations.

No Peanuts Please!

Students in this school have severe peanut allergies.  For the health and safety of these students, it is IMPERATIVE that NO peanuts or by-products be brought to school.  Reading food labels for ingredients is extremely important.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter!

Lice Alert!

Be sure to carefully check your child’s hair before school opens.  If lice or nits are found, the hair and household must be treated immediately.  Please inform the school if lice/nits are detected.  It is strongly recommended that “hair checking” be a weekly ritual at your home.

Open House/General Assembly

Exact dates will be forthcoming….

School Calendar

Your school calendar is included in your package.  Put it on the fridge for easy reference.  Reminder:  September 6th is a holiday.

Supply list are presently available on the Western Quebec School Board site at wqsb.qc.ca.

Earlier bedtimes and re-establishing routines are the keys for a smoother transition to school.

Thank you,

Ms. J. Price,  Principal
