The atmosphere at the school throughout February was charged with
excitement! The pride and creativity that went into Hundred's Day projects, the
high level of engagement and cooperation with the Défi Génie -Engineering
Challenge, and the success of the Destination Imagination team at the WQSB
competition were some of the highlights of this past month. The commitment to
provide students with a variety of art, sport, academic, cultural and social
experiences is so integral in fostering the development of a love of learning.
Thank you to everyone in the community for supporting our initiatives!
A big thank you goes to Home and School for organizing Staff Appreciation Week
at Chelsea Elementary and to all the parents for the acknowledgments and
contributions. There were no blank spaces left on the wall of treasures and the
lunch was a nourishing gift for body and soul.
Next month, the value we will be exploring is kindness. Kindness, an important
aspect of our school climate, supports each of us to reach our potential. Take
some time this month to talk with your child(ren) about how kindness looks,
feels, and sounds to them.
March is a busy month! Please look at the Upcoming Events listed in the
newsletter as well as the calendar provided. Term 2 parent-teacher interviews
will be held on March 15th from 5:00-8:00 pm. If you wish to meet with your
child's teachers but did not receive an interview request, please contact them
directly to schedule a meeting. The Budding Artist Fundraiser and Art Show will
be held during the interviews; please stop by to see the talent on display!
Wishing you all the best,
