Back to School Newsletter
Dear Chelsea Elementary Community,
It is with great pleasure that I welcome back the students and parents of Chelsea Elementary School. I hope that everyone enjoyed their summer and is refreshed for the school year ahead. To the families who are new to our school, I wish to welcome you to the amazing community of students, staff and parents. Last year was very successful academically with high results in the areas of ELA, mathematics and French and we look forward to continuing this achievement level.
School communication is delivered through email and a monthly newsletter, distributed by email. Paper copies are also available at the office. The website is also a great resource for school documents, policies, newsletters and staff information.
The September newsletter will be issued at the beginning of the month and will have more information about our Home and School Association, our popular Homework Club, and Governing Board. Parents enrich our learning community immensely; if you are hoping to get involved there will be many opportunities. Please remember that all volunteers must have an up-to-date security clearance check that can be arranged through the office.
The Outdoor Learning Centre construction was delayed due to a problem with the tender process, but work should begin in fall. More details will be made available through the newsletter.
Your child will be receiving their new agenda on the first day of school. Please take the time to review the first pages of the agenda for important information about the school.
The motto of Chelsea School, Respect for All, by All, is a powerful guiding principle that is incorporated into the day to day fabric of the school. As in the past, we will continue to celebrate diversity, incorporate active and outdoor learning opportunities, and promote the lifelong love of learning for students and staff.
If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact the front office staff:
