The end of the year is near and our students are excited about many end-of-year special activities and outings. As students are wrapping up their end of year exams, teachers are scheduling meetings with parents of children with Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in preparation for the new school year.
This year, once again, report cards will be mailed out in the first week of July along with pertinent back to school information: school calendar, school supply list, school fees, etc. Please make sure to inform us of any address change.
Don’t forget to look at our event calendar on the last page of this newsletter as not to miss out on any special upcoming activities, such as Graduation, End of year Community Picnic, and many more.
On June 14th, at 7:00pm, our police educator, Martin Fournel from the MRC Des Collines, will be hosting a parent information session at the school. During the session, he will speak to the role of parents and teenagers in regards to social media, personal image and bullying, all from a police and legal perspective. Although the session is intended for parents of pre-teens (children in grades 5 and up), everyone is invited and welcome to attend.
On another note, be advised that I will be away periodically on special leave during the month of June. On the days where I am not in school, Joanne Jolliffe will be in charge of the school. For any urgent and time sensitive matters, it is best to email both of us: email@example.com and firstname.lastname@example.org .
On behalf of the Chelsea Staff, I wish everyone a fun and peaceful end of the school year!
All the best,
Marie-Eve Groulx, Principal
