Area Map of Schools and Communities within the Project Range.

The “Environmental Awareness and Outdoor Life Skills Project” is a local initiative which includes 6 Western Quebec Schools, Directors, 3 Principals, and 15 Teachers from across the Outaouais Region of Quebec. The region covers a vast area of approximately 2500 sq. km, impacting hundreds of students while involving community members from local businesses and volunteers from 4 municipalities. The participating schools and communities include a diverse range of socio-economical statuses in Quebec which gives the project model more transferability. Teachers in the project will learn and share strategies them with one another which will be extensions that continue to reach out and have positive benefits. Teachers will share and practice their knowledge and skills with their own home school teaching staff after attending workshops.
It is a collaborative effort by all!
